Some very sad news just came out today. The actor who played Fenrir Greyback in the Harry Potter movies, Dave Legeno, died while hiking in -- believe it or not -- Death Valley, reports TMZ.
Apparently his body was found by a pair of hikers on Sunday. The area was so difficult to get to that a helicopter had to be used to transport it out of the valley.
The Inyo County Sheriff’s Department says that the 50-year-old "died of heat related issues ... and may have been dead for three to four days before his body was discovered."
So very sad! He leaves behind a daughter who is reportedly in her 20s and lives in the south of England.
Temperatures in Death Valley are known to reach more than 120 degrees. It's located in Eastern California's Mojave Desert, which apparently is the lowest, driest, and hottest area in North America.
The mixed martial artist played the evil werewolf in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince as well as the final two movies in the film franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.
He was also in Snatch, which he starred in with Brad Pitt and Vinnie Jones. He worked as a bouncer and wrestler before he took up boxing and acting. His professional MMA record was 4-3, so he was definitely a fighter. Such a shame that he died alone, but hopefully he was doing what he loved. Police say no foul play was involved.

Thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
