Could another Duggar engagement and wedding be right around the corner? Jill Duggar Dillard just got back from her honeymoon with her new husband, Derick Dillard, and now her younger sister, Jessa Duggar, is jetting off with Ben Seewald, the young man she's been courting since last summer.
Wait, what? One of the Duggar daughters is going on an overnight trip with a boy? Isn't this the family famous for saving their first kisses for their wedding days? I mean, the family doesn't even refer to Ben as Jessa's boyfriend, but they're sanctioning a trip together? They have. A mission trip, that is.
According to the Duggars' blog, Jessa, Ben, Jinger Duggar, and some other family members and friends are embarking on a 12-day trip to Central America with S.O.S. Ministries. The "Seekers of Souls" mission will visit Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador to pursue "those who are hopeless so they may become believers of our Lord, [which] has become our vision and passion in following both the example of Christ and Paul."
OK, so it's clearly on the up-and-up, but still, I wouldn't be surprised if this trip changes their relationship status for good. There have been some rumors that the pair is already engaged, but nothing official has been announced, and Jessa's ring finger is still bare.
Not that anything improper would happen -- the two decided on a list of boundaries at the onset of their courtship and shared them with their families and close friends so they could all be on the same page.
But Jim Bob himself has said he views these missions trips as "life changing" events, and you have to admit, Central America would make a beautiful backdrop for a proposal.
Do you think Ben will put a ring on it soon, if he hasn't (secretly) already?
