Did you feel that burn from all the way over there? Or was it more like a jab? Because Robert Pattinson addressed the issue of loyalty and friendship, and we can't help but wonder if it was a pointed barb in reference to his ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart.
You remember her -- the girl who starred with him in Twilight, captured his heart, and then broke it when she made out with her married director Rupert Sanders? Who am I kidding, of course you know what I'm talking about.
Anyway, the couple may have broken up for good (for now -- I refuse to acknowledge it's really over), but that doesn't mean there aren't still hurt feelings, which may or may not lead to passive-aggressive digs at one another on the red carpet.
Robert Pattinson was at a press stop in Los Angeles to promote his latest flick The Rover, a post-apocalyptic, futuristic Western set in the Australian outback, when he mentioned the importance of friendships and what makes a good one.
"I think loyalty is probably the most important trait in a friendship," he said, adding, "It's definitely very important."
You hear that, KStew? Loyalty is important to your ex-boyfriend. EX-boyfriend.
RPattz went on, exacting revenge on Kristen whether he meant to or not, because the best way to get back at someone who hurt you is to get over them, move on with your life, and just be happy.
"I was really lucky to have pretty great friends growing up ... I think I've had all my friends for at least 10 years," Rob said. "I have a very optimistic view of the world -- mainly because I like my life!"
Way to go, Rob. Whether the comments had anything to do with Kristen or not, we're glad to see you happy.
Do you think Rob's comment about loyalty was a passive-aggressive jab at Kristen Stewart?
