If you're still clinging to the small shred of hope that Dancing With the Stars partners Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerskovskiy will give the whole dating thing a try, you're definitely not alone. Even though season 18 has been over for a few weeks, we're still drooling over just how hot they were together, and it seems unthinkable that there is nothing romantic going on between them.
But based on comments Maks made about his feelings for Meryl in a new interview with Social Life magazine, it looks as though we shouldn't rule out the possibility of the two of them living happily ever after just yet.
OMG, you guys. He seriously couldn't be any more obvious about how much he adores her.
And he basically admitted that something happened between them when he compared his relationship with her to that of a summer fling. He said, "You spend summertime away from your home. When you spend three months very closely with someone at a particular place, it is like a summer love. You have no choice but to get involved with that person."
Maks went on to add, "Three months is a long time, and if I am going to give someone that much of my time, I am going to develop a relationship with that person."
Ok. Got it. Sooooo ... he's saying he and Meryl were "involved."
I guess we could take this to mean whatever they had is in the past, but then he threw in this little tidbit about whether or not he'll make a DWTS return. "I want Meryl to be the last person I dance with ... the last person I got to be passionate with and care so much for."
Wait! It gets better.
Maks also admits he's ready to find true love and settle down, saying, "I raised so many children at the studio that I am ready to create one of my own. I am really ready to have a family now. I need an outlet. I have so much I want to give, and I need someone to give it to."
Um, DUH! He has to give "it" to Meryl, right?!? The fact that he's looking for something serious coupled with that comment about wanting Meryl to be the "last person I got to be passionate with and care so much for" is basically an admission that he wants to be with her forever ... isn't it?

I really can't take it anymore. If these two don't get together, I swear I'll just die. Until one of them turns up engaged to someone else, I refuse to believe they aren't destined to be together forever. Honestly, if this romance never happens, then I'm not sure I'll ever believe in the concept of soul mates again.
Do you think Maks and Meryl should get married?
