It's been over a year since Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth broke up, and that can only mean one thing ... finally all those songs Miley wrote about Liam will start coming out! Today a secret track leaked (whoops!) onto the Internet, though it keeps keeps getting pulled from YouTube. But not before some scarily obsessive eagle-eared fans were able to jot down the lyrics to Miley's song "Last Good-Bye." And giiiiiiiirl. Sounds like Miley had a rough split.
Here are some lyrics:
We never said that we would be perfect
We only said that we tried
And when you said that we were forever
I guess that’s just another lie
Let me slip right through your fingers
I hope you know it’s real this time, yeah
To know that I said I’d never come home for a last goodbye
I don’t wanna let you go if you still love me
Cause I don’t wanna see you cry, yeah
But it feels like you and I are dying
And there’s no one that can save our lives
Ummm, heavy. Last year, Miley's camp reportedly tried to pass off the lyrics as being about her dead dog, Lila. Which would be, um, creepy?
One of the more telling lyrics that the song is about her ex is when she croons:
We've already been through this twice ...
And the pair had broken up twice before their final split.
But who cares if this is about Liam? Songwriters get to write about their exes. Ask Taylor Swift.
It's hard to believe these two broke up -- eh, who am I kidding? It's hard to believe they were ever together. But if this song really is about Liam, then this is a nice tribute to him, er, or something.
Do you think this is about Liam?
