Robert Pattinson as 'Indiana Jones'? Yes, Please!

Robert Pattinson

Make sure you're sitting down, because what I'm about to tell you will make you want to jump up and down and cheer, which is way more exciting if you're actually seated first.

According to a new report in The Sun, Robert Pattinson might be the new Indiana Jones. He's supposedly at the top of the list as far as who Disney bosses are interested in to take over Harrison Ford's famous role.

OMG. I'm getting all hot and bothered just thinking about this possibly happening.

The report reads, "Producers have asked their casting department for a top 10 list of potential Indies, who must have wide-ranging appeal. Insiders say they hope to reboot the franchise with two quick films in succession, so would need a three-year commitment from their leading man."

Did you hear that? A three-year commitment. Hmm. Rob is definitely no stranger to that kind of a workload, which makes him a total shoo-in for the part, don't you think?

And he definitely has the rugged good looks thing going on, so physically he's absolutely perfect for the job.

But let's cut to the chase -- who else thinks being the new Indiana Jones is quite possibly the best thing that could happen to Rob's career? He's been trying like hell to shed the Edward Cullen association since the Twilight Saga ended. Transitioning into another iconic role is a great way to ensure fans see him in an entirely different light.

I don't wanna get my hopes up about this, but I can't lie -- I have the Indiana Jones theme song running through my head and I'm already picturing Rob trying to outrun a huge boulder. (Please, please let this be true!)

Do you think Rob would make a good Indiana Jones?

Well, i guess this series was already ruined with the fourth movie, so why not just finish it off. i like how the writer (a stay at home mom trying to re-ive her teeny-bopper days) makes no mention of his acting skills, but i'm assuming that's because even she knows he doesn't have any.

I'll be over in the corner there collecting the pieces of my broken child hood. As Bob already mentioned, they completely fucked the sauce with the 4th movie so why not just put the proverbial nail in the coffin. Get a man with a) real talent & b) who actually looks good

Besides Rob being the perfect choice for the part, his fan base alone will boost the films ratings without a doubt.

Robert's fan base is tween girls 8-13, hardly the target demographic for an Indiana Jones movie. It would be a collosal failure, without a doubt

Rob is a very good actor and has the right stuff for the job. Sex appeal, fans of all ages, and the requisite cool attitude as well as a wicked sense of humor. I would love to see him in the role -- but would he want it?

Harrison Ford; that is Indiana Jones. He is the only one allowed to play him. Rob doesn't have it in him to take over iconic roles like that.

Why do movie makers insist on ruining all of the good movies by remaking them with actors that don't fit the part? Harrison Ford was, is and always will be Indiana Jones. Granted my still too young to remember when these movies came out but because of my parents I have seen all of the Indiana Jones movies and now own them on DVD and I can't imagine anyone else playing that part. Honestly, I don't think he is really all that talented and yes I have seen the Twilight movies (and therefore I rest my case).

Rob can do anything he puts his mind towards. Besides the Twilight Saga, I've seen him in many other movies and he was Fantastic. I believe he can really pull it off, I have no doubt.

Idk about Robert Pattinson in this role but people talking about his acting skills just remember, Harrison Ford wasn't exactly Marlon Brando either. Yes, he had a strong presence on screen but his acting chops were average at best
