The mom list is a never-ending list. It’s never done,” says Emmy Award-winning Jaime Pressly. “Finding balance as a mother and an individual who is also a working woman is one of the most difficult things to actually ever achieve. It’s always a work in progress.”

And she should know. Jaime is a working mom juggling a 7-year-old son and a brand new comedy series, premiering Wednesday on TV Land.

Jennifer Falls, a must-see series for all moms out there, follows Jaime’s character, Jennifer Doyle, through the trials and tribulations of her falling-apart life. Jennifer, a highly successful, high-powered businesswoman with a 16-year-old daughter, suddenly loses her job, landing her in quite an unexpected place. She ends up moving back in with her therapist mother (played by Jessica Walter) and has to take a job at her brother’s (Ethan Suplee) sports bar. After working long, grueling hours, she now has to come home, be a mom, and muddle through the mundane parenting tasks she used to pay people to do for her.

“At the end of the day,” Jaime says of her character Jennifer, “you can work as hard as you want and make as much money as you want. But if you don’t spend time with your child, if you’re not there for your child, none of that matters. Jennifer realizes that all the success she had and all the money she had wasn’t really what her daughter needed. What her daughter needed was her.”

Jaime, much like Jennifer, is a Type A personality who wants to fix everything and make everybody happy.

“We both try really, really hard and sometimes we seem to have a problem juggling work and family. I think every mom has that problem.”

What Jaime doesn’t have a problem with is channeling her talent seamlessly into the role of Jennifer Doyle. She has created a believably real character to which mothers from all walks of life can relate. As Jennifer gets herself into various scrapes and crawls her way out, moms get the message that they’re not in this parenting thing alone. And with every laugh and every tear, they learn life lessons right along with the very flawed, very strong, and very lovable Jennifer Doyle.

Jennifer Falls seems so real, but maybe because it is. After all, says Jaime, “Great comedy comes from real-life drama.”

And as we all know, simply being a mom creates enough drama for a lifetime of laughs.

Don’t miss Jaime Pressly in Jennifer Falls, premiering on TV Land Wednesday, June 4. Check your local listings for time and channel. If you’re a mom, you’re going to love it.
