Yes! One of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's wedding guests had the good sense to leak a photo of their menu on his Instagram and it's probably the best picture to surface yet from what sounds like an extraordinary night.
We already knew the couple had hired famed chef and restaurant owner Giorgio Pinchiorri, who owns the three-star Michelin eatery Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence, to cater their affair. We expected their menu to be interesting and exciting -- and Kimye didn't disappoint. Here's a look at the four-course meal guests enjoyed at Kim and Kanye's wedding.
In honor of their exotic overseas wedding, the menu was printed both in English and Italian. Rather than ask guests to choose among four entrees, everyone sat down to dig into several courses that were already selected for them. I guess this is bad news if you're not a fan of fish or red meat, but hey, you'd be nuts to turn down the opportunity to sample food made by a culinary god.
Here's what guests ate at Kim and Kanye's wedding:
First Course: Homemade mezzelune pasta stuffed with ricotta cheese, thyme and marjoram with parmagiano zabaglione and golden curls.
Second Course: Monkfish fillet in crust of aromatic herbs on a bed of pureed celeriac with sweet onions and Vitelotte potatoes.
Third Course: Beef fillet with Brunello di Montalcino sauce and potato tarte seasoned with truffle green beans.
Dessert: Homemade strawberry sorbet and (of course) wedding cake.
YUM! I love how they paid homage to Italy with a pasta course and the addition of zabaglione, which is a sweet dessert made with eggs and wine, gives this dish a really unique spin. Also awesome to include a fish and beef dish -- and I love how the beef is made with a fresh, regional sauce.
Now, can someone please post a photo of their wedding cake? Because I'm just itching to see it!
