We already know that Maksim Chmerkovskiy is the Casanova of Dancing With The Stars, but it looks like he just can’t keep his hands off his most recent partner both on and off the dance floor. There’s continued speculation that Maksim might be dating new champ Meryl Davis, and they're doing nothing to discourage those rumors.
According to reports, the tall, dark and handsome star of the hit ABC reality competition show was getting awfully cozy with Meryl during a night out together at TAO Lounge in Los Angeles last night.
A source told Us Weekly:
Maks and Meryl were super touchy feely. Before dinner they were in a corner talking really close. He kept kissing her on the forehead and was doting on her. He had his arm around her waist and shoulders a ton.
This of course isn’t the first time we’ve heard of a possible romance between Maks and one of his DWTS partners, as he was also previously linked to sportscaster Erin Andrews along with fellow dancers Karina Smirnoff and Peta Murgatroyd. The question is: Is it all for show? Or to be more precise, show ratings? Or, is that just Maks being Maks? Another source explained:
Maks is affectionate with all women. He always acts like that, it’s how he is, very touchy feely. He genuinely adores her but it is not dating yet.
Personally, I don’t think Meryl and Maks should date, given his tumultuous past with women. Remember when Hope Solo alleged that he slapped her and was aggressive during one of their rehearsals? It seems as though Maks is very hot and cold with the ladies and being the sweet-natured person Meryl is, she’ll do better off with someone not connected to the dance floor.
So hopefully all this amounts to is Maks' Casanova ways and some afterglow from the show. Not to mention, I’m sure Maks’ flirtation with the ladies is a great storyline producers over at Dancing With The Stars like to play up each season to help build interest for the show in the gossip blogs. So far it looks like that formula has worked quite well.
Do you think Meryl and Maks are a couple or is Maks just playing it up for the cameras?
