Robert Pattinson has a new goal in life. Win an Oscar? Get back with KStew? Never get back with KStew? None of the above. Rob told press at the Cannes Film Festival, where he's promoting his new films Map to the Stars and The Rover:
I’m just trying to not be in stupid gossip magazines, basically, and I think the best way to do it is never be photographed ever.
Stupid gossip mags, Rob? Pishaw!
Granted, it must suck to have so many lies written about you (I would never do that, Rob), but, hey, it was a photographer who exposed that your girlfriend was cheating on you! Would you have preferred to never know? (Don't answer that question, Rob.)
RPattz went on to say:
As I get older, I just get more and more and more self-conscious about getting photographed. I don’t know why. I’ve done it too many times and now I feel like everyone can see through me.
Wow, he's sounding kind of insecure lately. I wonder if this is because he's balding and has that pot belly now? Or is it the yellow teeth and the gray complexion? Haha. Just kidding. Rob looks better as he's gotten older.
But, yeah, I can't imagine having my pic taken every single day, hundreds of times a day. Most of the time, you're not going to think the photos are flattering -- even if you're as handsome as Rob.
Still, I think the only way for Rob to stop having his photo taken is to get out of show business. And he doesn't seem inclined to do that. So I have no idea how he's going to pull this off.
Good luck to you, Rob!
Do you think he'll be able to avoid cameras forever?
