'Bachelor' Star DeAnna Pappas Stagliano Suffers Devastating Loss

deanna pappas stagliano dog died

Former Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas Stagliano had a baby girl back in February and no doubt has been floating on a happy cloud ever since. DeAnna and husband Michael Stagliano named their little baby Addison Marie, and they have posted some of the sweetest photos of their little bundle of love on Instagram.

Sadly, however, DeAnna is now dealing with the death of her best friend of 15 years.

DeAnna's beloved dog died suddenly. She wrote on Instagram with this lovely collection of photos:

My heart is so heavy today as we are mourning the loss of our 15 year old fur baby. She has been with me half of my life. There aren't enough tears in my life to express the loss. She just got diagnosed with cancer & had a tumor removed last Wed. She died in her daddy's arms ... she wouldn't have had it any other way. We love & miss her more than words can say.

How terribly sad. I can relate. I had a cat that was my fur baby who passed away from cancer as well. That was about eight years ago and I still think about Mr. Meow Meow all the time. DeAnna's dog was named Lady.

Another person who can relate is Miley Cyrus. Miley took to Twitter the other day to express how devastated she still is over the loss of her dog in April. Some people don't understand how we can be so upset over the loss of a pet, but many pet owners understand how they really are our fur babies, how they really are family.

My condolences to DeAnna and her family.

Have you ever experienced the loss of a pet?

It's so disgusting that you started this article by making us believe

Something happened to their baby. You are a

Pathetic journalist.

I thought something happened to her baby, you jerk.

Yes I have experienced the loss of a pet, too many unfortunately, I still miss them like crazy. The worst part of owning our pets, fur babies is that we have to suffer their loss, over & over, but we wouldn't be without them. Condolences to Deanna & family, it is like losing a member of your immediate family.

This article is horribly misleading! I thought she lost her baby! Cut back on the dramatics and try telling the real story! Losing a pet is horrible but that should have been how the story went!

i agree, kay...i lost my baby girl, wantok, in 2008, and still miss her daily...i have her ashes stored in an urn...she was a gentle giant, 200# berneise mt. dog mix rescue from anchorage, ak...what is most sad are the ways they are our memory books, around when this or that happened...like, i got her when i got married, she went through my divorce w/ me, my grandmother's death, she was there...and then she's gone...my best friend...the only creature who really knew my pain, my joy, my everything...dogs really are our best friends and soulmates, and i send my condolenscenes to deanna and kay too...we are so blessed to have these awesome beloved best friends/family, but it is so hearbreaking to lose them...the lesson is this: never take your furry buddy for granted, even when you're tired and they want to play, etc...love them always...xoxo

ps i kind of knew from the title it wasn't her baby...the stir always sensationalizes their headlines...they ought to know better, but evidently they go for the shock factor to get folks to read...they shouldn't do that and get people into an upset...

I lost two schnauzer's (mother and son) in Sept 2013 within 2 weeks. My life will never be the same. I still cry when I think about them. They were our babies! I am so sorry for your loss...

Jerk, you wrote this article like it was her child, you should be ashamed to lead us like that.

we just put our dog of thirteen years down on saturday night. She had arthritis and she could barely walk. The past 48 hours have been tough, our hearts weighs heavily also over the loss of our baby girl. She will be missed terribly. Sorry for your loss, I know exactly what you're through! Treasure the memories that have of her. Take care!

Deanna's husband is NOT Michael, it is his twin brother Stephen.
