Kailyn Lowry is basically one of the most impressive people to come out of reality TV. The Teen Mom 2 star had the odds stacked against her, with an alcoholic mom, an absent dad, getting pregnant in high school, and a whole host of other challenges we just recently recently learned about in her New York Times best-selling book Pride Over Pity.
Despite all of that, this earthy mama manages to put her family first, maintain a great relationship with her hubby Javi Marroquin, and be the best mom she can be to Isaac and Lincoln. Plus she's touring for her book! And apparently because there are 25 hours in each of Kail's days, she's decided to take on a strict new fitness regime as well.
She's now decided to take on Focus T25, which is the latest form of torture fitness brought to us by the creator of Insanity. It's 25 minutes a day of grueling exercise, which seems totally manageable, except for the fact that a normal person needs those other 23 hours and 35 minutes to lie on the couch and wish their muscles were dead to recover.
Kailyn may be feeling it, too. She tweeted:
Please tell me t25 gets better?! Day one wasn't great. 😑— Kail Lowry-Marroquin (@KailLowry) May 15, 2014
Oyza. Day one of any new fitness routine majorly sucks, but it's supposed to get better, right? Right?
It should get easier with time. That being said, Kail has so much on her plate right now, I don't think anyone would think twice if she opted out of the daily grind of grinding her body to a pulp in order to get thin. She's already gorgeous -- size zero does not equal beautiful.
That being said, it looks like the reality star is determined to work her body. She posted this picture on Thursday, one day after her "not great" first day:
It's onnnnn 💪 pic.twitter.com/ofLy8mDJoO— Kail Lowry-Marroquin (@KailLowry) May 15, 2014
Nearly 700 calories burned in an hour?? It's not clear what exactly she was doing to burn those calories, but it had to be something intense. Kail has struggled with body image issues in the past, so it's admirable she's taking the exercise route to achieve full health, but we hope she's doing it to feel good about herself, and not because she feels like she has to!
Do you think Kailyn is demanding too much of herself right now, or getting in shape the right way?
