Amanda BynesIt's always sad to see a celebrity (or anyone for that matter) completely spiral out of control, but if one good thing has to come out of it, it's watching that person get the help they need and finally recover.

Last year, Amanda Bynes had one of the strangest public meltdowns we've seen since Britney Spears circa 2007, but this girl seems to really be working slowly on making a full recovery. She's been living with her parents since she got out of rehab, and if the photo she recently tweeted of her and her sister Jillian is any indication, she's been working on mending all her family relationships.

On Thursday, the former Nickelodeon star posted a sweet sister photo looking healthy and beautiful.

The fashion student looks positively radiant with her equally swanky sister. It's a far cry from last summer, when the actress publicly slammed her sister Jillian as "ugly." In all fairness though, Amanda was kind of going nuts on Twitter by then, calling everyone ugly, and focusing on some weird obsession with Drake. In June 2013, she wrote, "My Sister Jillian Has An Ugly Face Don't Worry Drake."

Which just shows what a long way she's come in her recovery. According to her mom, Lynn Bynes, it wasn't mental illness that set the starlet off, but pot smoking. Last month she told Us Weekly via her attorney, "Amanda has no mental illness whatsoever. She has never been diagnosed as schizophrenic or bipolar ... she is very sorry for all the hurtful tweets, statements and actions that occurred while she was under the influence of marijuana."

Eh, this is one of those touchy subjects when we ask if weed is really capable of making someone act that cray cray, but you know what? At the end of the day, no matter what wires got crossed in Amanda's brain or why, she seems to be recovering beautifully, with the full support of her family.

In April, Jillian tweeted her own picture of the sisters, with the caption, "Happy Birthday to my beautiful sister! I love you!"

Looks like things are looking up for Amanda Bynes. Keep it up, lady!

Are you happy to see Amanda making a recovery?
