'Teen Mom' Kailyn Lowry Shares Shocking Breastfeeding Photo With Fans

kailyn lowryWe are accustomed to knowing just about everything you can possibly know about the lives of MTV's Teen Moms. They do allow cameras to follow them 24-7, after all. Fans are privy to every argument, every brawl, every court date, and every up and down with a baby's daddy. However, fan fave Kailyn Lowry has taken her expsosure to an entirely new level.

The reality star has posted a photo of herself breastfeeding infant son Lincoln along with the caption:

Perfect! I find more and more people don't truly know what breastmilk can do. Breastmilk can saves lives yet people are so turned off by breastfeeding. Thank you Ashley for capturing this. I love it so much. #miraclemilk #miraclemilkstroll

It's a sweet sentiment, but the image is rubbing some fans the wrong way.

This photo is just the latest controversial breastfeeding pic from a star. Just a week ago, Jason Bigg's wife Jenny Mollen tweeted a photo of her exposed breast at a fast food restaurant with their newborn. She was clearly trying to be comical, but it brings up a serious question: what is TMI when it comes to breastfeeding moms.

Sure Kailyn and Jenny have a right to take these intimate photos of what most of us consider a beautiful thing between a mother and child. But should they share it with the world? Of course, both have plenty of supporters too. Many people are proud of that pro-breastfeeding stance and are inspired by the bold photographs. So I doubt this is the last we will see of either of these moms or their boobs.

Do you think these images are TMI?

if the baby was nursing it would be totally fine. but all shes doing is flashing her breast to the world. shame on her for taking something so beautiful and making it dirty. she just wanted to show the world her tit:made it gross!

Jennys' picture has nothing to do with breastfeeding. She is just flashing her tit which I think makes the breastfeeding issue such a problem. Kailyns' picture is perfectly fine and it should be just as normal for all the world to see a picture like hers as it is to see a picture of a woman in a bikini. Breastfeeding should not be sexualized or shamed. It is a natural, beautful and perfect way to feed and nurture our children and should be treated as such.

the only thing shocking about this is the young authors choice of the word shocking.
I suppose if you are tasked with continually writing about nothing, you have to create a story where there isn't one.

she is another one of those girls that wasts to go into porn she should make a video release and pretend like she didn't know she was doing it and make some money does say that breastfeeding was part of this picture really had nothing to do with it

I don't see anything "shocking" about it. The baby is breastfeeding. Big deal. The thing I find shocking is the comment from that idiot Daniella Schoener. How stupid can a person be?

Breastfeeding is fine i think and it doesn't bother me seeing pictures of feeding babies or seeing babies feeding in public. That's just my opinion though. Other people think differently. If a baby's hungry you've got to feed right?

Stacy Lutter

Women can post pics with their bras and bikinis and nobody makes a fuss ...this woman is capturing her bond with her baby while feeding him and it's a problem?? This world is a mess! Grow up people !

Well said Stacy Lutter! I breastfeed my 4 month old son in public, with a nursing cover even, and still from time to time I get scoffed at. I'm not sticking him on my boob in public to shock the world, my baby happens to be hungry or just needs comfort and as his mom, it is my duty to care for my child. Breastfeeding is the best for baby all the way around. Perhaps those who scoff at a mother's love, lacked it growing up...I couldn't imagine any other reason why people would be so ignorant.
