The death of Kurt Cobain 20 years ago still haunts fans. The immensely talented singer-songwriter was determined to have taken heroin and then shot himself in the head. But conspiracy theories have always churned that he was murdered -- and his wife, Courtney Love, has always been at the center of those conspiracy theories, none of which has remotely nudged the authorities from their stance that Cobain's death was suicide, plain and simple. Now one of Courtney's long-time enemies, her own father, is back in the news accusing Courtney of the unthinkable: the murder of her own husband.
Helping along this horrible theory is a note that authorities recently released that was found in Cobain's wallet. In the note, Cobain refers to Courtney as his "lawful shredded wife"; a "bitch with zits"; and says that she spends all of his "money for doping and whoring."
Many thought the note proved that Cobain and Courtney weren't getting along at the time of his death -- but it was already known that the pair had a turbulent relationship. But both of them also had a twisted sense of humor, and this sounds like it could just as easily be a love note as a hate note.
However, the note was "good" timing for one of Courtney's longtime enemies -- someone who is convinced she was behind Kurt's death. Sadly, that person happens to be her father.
If you saw the 1998 documentary, Kurt & Courtney, then you might remember Courtney's sperm donor (I won't insult fathers by calling him father), Hank Harrison, who had a chilling and bizarre hatred for his daughter. Even then, he was accusing her of being Kurt's killer. And now he's taking advantage of the anniversary of Kurt's death and the newfound note to publish a diatribe he penned called Love Kills: The Assassination of Kurt Cobain. I mean, seriously, look at that title: Love Kills?!
Harrison told RadarOnline:
I can’t prove she pulled the trigger, but I can prove her involvement to a high degree of certainty.
The real pathetic thing here is this "father," who would rather spend his life throwing the absolute worst accusations at his daughter than trying to mend their rift. In the past, he's said, "She's a psychopath, she has a sociopathic personality like I do."
Oh, okay, then. Let's just listen to an admitted sociopath!
If ever Courtney Love gets on your nerves -- and admittedly she can be an extremely annoying person -- just ask yourself what you'd be like with a "dad" like this!
What do you think of Courtney's father?
