Anderson Cooper's Stalker Shares Creepy Confession with Reporters (VIDEO)

Anderson Cooper stalkerAlex Hausner, the man accused of stalking Anderson Cooper and Cooper's boyfriend Benjamin Maisani, pled guilty Friday to aggravated harassment and menacing charges in the Manhattan Supreme Court. Thus concludes, hopefully, a deeply weird saga that began in 2008 and involved Hausner claiming that the CNN anchor talks to him through his TV. Hausner was at one time found mentally unfit to stand trial, and as recently as Tuesday had his guilty plea interrupted when he broke down in court and suddenly refused to admit he threatened Cooper.

Hausner's been in jail since last July, but he's now released from custody. Here's the scary thing: as he left the courthouse, he told reporters that he still loves Cooper, and that "I would die for him."

Hausner, a self-proclaimed “gay, Jewish white supremacist," was supposed to be released from jail on Tuesday, but the judge refused to take his guilty plea when Hausnner insisted he never meant to menace Cooper, even when he kicked in his door last July. He returned to court today and this time his plea was apparently accepted -- but check out what he had to say when he left the courthouse:

Yeah, that's … yikes. It's bad enough that he's clearly still besotted with Cooper, but two of his comments seem particularly disturbing.

I'm just concerned that people are going to walk around with their walkie-talkies, they're going to see me on the street, and then the people around Anderson Cooper might guide him to my path in order to get me in trouble.

... I would die for him.

Hausner's mother says he was diagnosed with schizophrenia at age 12, but says he's not a violent man. He is, however, a convicted felon who was captured on security cameras when he tried to kick in the door of Cooper's West Village residence last summer. At the time, he could be heard screaming,

I swear to f--king God, don’t insult me. I’m going to f--k you up!

It's been a very strange story that's been going on for nearly six years, and hopefully for everyone involved this is the end of it. If I were Anderson Cooper, though, I don't think I'd be too soothed by Hausner's comments today. That man needs help, and jail didn't seem to do much in the way of discouraging his obsession.

What do you think of this clip? Do you think his comments are spooky?
