Sigh. This is really starting to sound like a broken record, but there's a bit of buzz going around over the chance of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart reuniting in Cannes next month. Both of them star in movies that will be featured at the Cannes Film Festival.
Actually, Rob has two films, The Rover and Maps to the Stars. Kristen's movie is Sils Maria, in which she stars with Juliette Binoche.
Huh. Doesn't this mean that both of them have to go to the festival? Like isn't it considered in poor taste or something if they sit this one out?
But let's get to the real issue at hand here -- and that's whether or not popping over to France is a prime opportunity for these two to give things another go.
I guess it's possible that being there together will bring back old feelings. But considering how many opportunities they've had to run back into each other's arms up until this point, I'd say Cannes isn't going to make a huge difference as far as anything long-term goes.
Think about it for a second. Why would Kristen have skipped Coachella when she knew very well that Rob would be there if she wasn't totally over him? (I'm not buying the story about her wanting to be in good shape for work.) And as far as Rob is concerned, he's had plenty of chances to pay KStew a visit -- but somehow their paths never quite seem to cross for various reasons. All I'm sayin' is that if two people truly want to be together, they find a way to be together. Period. And Rob and Kristen have not done that, so they must be O-V-E-R.
But then again, maybe being forced to be in the same place at the same time will be exactly what they need to find out once and for all where their relationship stands. At least if they both go to Cannes separately and don't leave as a couple, maybe we can finally put an end to the rumors about them getting back together once and for all.
(Nah. You're right. That'll never happen.)
Do you think Rob and Kristen will reconnect in Cannes?
