Jenelle Evans Proves She Didn't Drink While Pregnant -- Well, Sort Of

jenelle evansJenelle Evans got a lot of crap this week after an episode of Teen Mom 2 aired that showed her telling her boyfriend, Nathan Griffith, about her pregnancy ... and then moments later, MTV showed a promo for the following week in which Nathan is pulled over for a DUI while Jenelle's in the car. Fans called Jenelle a bad mom (which, let's get real, isn't anything new), and she was criticized, understandably, for drinking while pregnant.

Thing is, though, Jenelle has come out with some pretty good proof that she wasn't, in fact, imbibing while carrying a child. It's just classic MTV editing.

In a blog post, Jenelle broke down the math in an effort to show that the DUI was about a month before she conceived. Here's what she had to say:

The problem with this situation is that MTV editing would have you think Nathan's DUI happened after Jenelle and he found out they were expecting, when in reality, the arrest was nearly two months before they knew they were having a baby! Jenelle Evans is due June 29, 2014. A due date of June 29th would mean date of conception is October 6thish (2013). In case you aren’t familiar with pregnancy, the amount of "weeks pregnant" isn’t considered from the moment of conception, it’s considered from the first day of your last menstrual cycle. Even in a best case scenario, with Jenelle conceiving around October 6th, Nathan was pulled over and arrested on September 7, 2013.

Boom. There you have it. Kind of hard to argue with evidence like that. If that's Jenelle's due date, and that's when Nathan was arrested, she clearly wasn't pregnant at the time of the arrest. Good for her!

Now, how is Jenelle going to prove that she didn't smoke weed to ease her morning sickness in the first trimester? Or that she didn't drink at any other point? That might be a bit trickier. But hey, we'll take this!

Do you think Jenelle drank at all while pregnant?

I wish MTV would cut her out from the show. I hope Child Protective Services takes this new baby away from her the minute he is born...between the alcohol and pot smoking while pregnant I think the State of South Carolina has a very good case for child endangerment.

Hanna Ann smith, I agree with you, CPS needs to step in and take that baby away from her, jenelle is a bad mom and always will be!

I think every one needs to mind there business and just leave Jenelle alone... There are lots of ways to help move through morning sickness and she chose to make a bad decision but that does not mean that she is a bad mother ... even in episodes where she is trying to be in Jace's life "Her Mother" won't let her.. So Needless I just think she needs some guaidnce a good role model to help her not people saying that she needs her kid/s to be taking away from her

Smoking pot and drinking while pregnant are one thing, but I'd be more concerned about her mothering skills with regards to all the other bad decisions, not having a job, not having family support, and not even having custody of her first kid. There was no reason to jump into having a second kid.

I'm am actually confused if her due date is in june that means she conceived in early September. You can go on any website for a pegancy calender and they can confirm that . Jenelle is hiding something or she is just bad at math.

If it weren't for Barbra Jace would have become a ward of the State a long time ago, meaning he would have been taken away from Jenelle and put into foster care. Because Jenelle only lives for Jenelle, that is partly due to her mental illness which is sad but true. Any woman who really wanted her child in her life wouldn't use street drugs and or hang out with losers. She would work hard to improve her self, to provide for her child. Barbra isn't the problem, she only wants the best for both Jenelle and Jace. I think that Barbra has had to question everything that Jenelle does and maybe it has become a habit that's difficult to break. But I seriously believe she really loves Jenelle with all of her heart and that she wants her daughter to do well. I believe she would turn Jace over to her in a heart beat, if she saw her daughter make better choices. She stepped up to the plate and took care of Jace, because Jenelle either doesn't want to or because she isn't able to. Watching this show I noticed how Jenelle seemed to look for reasons to take off, to shirk her responsibilities. Like she was just looking for an excuse to fight with her mom, so she could play, party and do her drugs and have her fun. Let her mom raise her son. God Bless Barbra for stepping up for Jace!!

I think it's time for Jenelle to grow up. She needs to realize that she is not the only one that pays for her mistakes. I feel sorry for her mother, Barbara, because she's raising Jace because Jenelles too damn immature and ignorant to do so. She cant raise the one she has, but yet is going to have another! SMH! People like Jenelle give other young mom's a bad name! And, how many charges do you have to have before they put your ass in jail and give you time? She thinks she's "big & bad' until it's time for court, then it's boohoo.
