Miley Cyrus Under Fire for Allegedly Ruining Dying 7-Year-Old's Wish

Miley CyrusDid Miley Cyrus come in like a wrecking ball on a dying little girl's last wish? That's what sources are telling RadarOnline, though it's hard to believe and kind of difficult to imagine. But sources tell the gossip site that a 7-year-old girl named Miley Hodge, who is suffering from bone cancer and who doctors think only has four to six months to live (ugh! life is so freaking unfair!!), had a bucket list wish to meet ... Justin Bieber. But when he wasn't available, the Make-A-Wish foundation made it happen with Miley Cyrus. And from the sound of it, Miley wasn't too happy to be second best.

A friend of Miley Hodge's family told RadarOnline:

From what I know, it was not a very good experience for them.

Oh-oh. What on Earth could have happened? Here's how another friend reportedly explained it:

The family went to Los Angeles and were put off for nearly a week before they met [Cyrus]. They finally met at the recording studio, and from what I understand, Cyrus was more interested in what she was doing in the studio than paying attention to the little girl.

Yikes. If this is true, it's sad. How could you pay more attention to your studio work than the dying little girl who wanted so badly to meet you? And how could you put her off for a week when her time is so limited?

On the other hand, celebrities get requests like this all of the time. They can't possibly fulfill all of them and still have a life and get work done. I imagine it must be sort of guilt-wracking when they are informed there is a dying child who desperately wants to meet them -- but they are not feeling well, or are super-busy, or have other important things going on in their lives.

At any rate, Miley's dad (little Miley, not the singer) would only say that they were "grateful for the chance to meet Cyrus in person." So who knows what happened. It must suck to take time to do something like this too and then get bad publicity for it!

Still, the family holds out hope little Miley will get to meet Justin Bieber. Justin, are you listening? Put down that sizzurp and come meet this young lady.

If it is true cyrus did this to the little girl, it shows that she is one of the lowest humans on earth! That little girl deserved so much better. I hope her wish is able to come true.

If you can't give a dying child some appropriate, caring little bit of time - don't give it at all.

On the other hand, what else would be expected of Miley Cyrus?

Jimmy Fallon did this to my teenage niece who died a year later. Thankfully she never realized he rejected her request. However, we have never forgotten or forgiven him. His name remains a dirty word in the Make-A-Wish Foundation since this incident years ago. When his face appears on t.v. in our home we change the channel while our gits roil! I

couldn't help but remember all this when I saw Mr. Fallon now has a daughter of his own.

While the author of this article and the commentators are all willing to condemn Cyrus there truth is that no one knows what actually happened except the child's family and note that none of the comments are coming from them. All of you, including the author, are jumping on the "bully Miley Cyrus" bandwagon with absolutely nothing but rumor and innuendo to fuel your hatred.

Note - no one knows when Miley Cyrus was informed that child wanted to meet her - for all anyone knows the "put off for a week" is the result of managers and Make-A-Wish personnel  negotiating times or even the possibility that Cyrus would be available. It might also be that while Make-A-Wish brought them out to LA a week early the time that was set to meet the child was the time originally agreed to time and that Make-A-Wish jumped the gun

Bottom line - none of you KNOW the details yet you are all ready to pile on and insult a young person based on nothing more than your personal prejudice against this young woman.

LLICE - I am sorry your niece died but really, unless you can honestly say you have never said "no" to a request there is really no legitimate reason to hate Jimmy Fallon or any other celebrity because they cannot or are not willing to meet every fan, even dying fans.
