We know the Kardashians constantly script their own jaw-dropping headlines, but sometimes, the drama comes looking for them. Case in point: Rumors have been flying for a while now that someone is trying to extort Kris Jenner over her supposed sex tape, and now, law enforcement has reportedly stepped in to handle the debacle.
Sources tell TMZ that L.A. County Sheriff's Deputies went to the Jenner house on Tuesday and took a report. It says Kris has been receiving up to 300 phone calls, voicemails, and texts a day for the last few weeks -- day and night -- from someone who says they have the tape.
The person allegedly blackmailing Kris has said that if she doesn't ante up a large sum of dough, TMZ will post the sex tape. To THAT end, TMZ responds: "It's not true, and besides, it's not up our alley."
Kris told the cops that there is no such tape, and the alleged extortionist "flip-flopped during several calls and said Khloe -- not Kris -- starred in the tape." FISHY!
While I'm usually apt to think circumstances like this are choreographed by Jenner herself for publicity, this particular incident sounds like a load of pure crazy. From the sound of it, Kris really is being blackmailed over a totally nonexistent tape. Here's hoping cops get to the bottom of it!
What do you think -- is there a tape or is it just a kooky attempt to extort Kris Jenner?
