Kate Middleton Is Prepared to Take an Undeserved Beating Yet Again

Kensington Palace

She's already taken more than her fair share of unnecessary criticism for going on vacation without Prince George, and now it looks as though Kate Middleton may be putting on her defensive gear again.

But this time, it has nothing to do with her parenting. You know how Kate and Prince William have had all sorts of renovations done to their Kensington Palace apartment in order to make it up to par for them and their new (and hopefully growing) family?

Yeah, well, apparently not everyone approves of them upgrading their digs.

Before I go into any more detail, I should probably mention that the renovations to Kensington Palace have gone way over budget. Like WAY over budget. Like an extra £1 million or so. (Yikes!)

And supposedly Prince William and Kate are worried about the backlash they might receive over the added expense. They are concerned that the public's image of them might take a negative turn.

A royal insider told The Mirror, "The young royals are extremely popular but when people up and down the country are struggling to make ends meet. This is not going to go down very well."

I'm sorry -- but I'm going to go ahead and give this one a major eye roll. Ok, so sprucing up their home is costing a bit more than expected. But look on the bright side! Since they are taking care of getting everything in order now, they're saving tons of cash on future renovations, for them and for Prince George and his kids and so on and so forth.

Gah. People should be thanking them instead of getting all bent out of shape. Besides, they are freakin' royalty. Don't they deserve to live in a proper palace?

Do you think the public has a right to be upset over these renovations?

Let's be realistic here. If we all had the opportunity and money we would all be doing the same. So good luck to them!

Why worry about them updating there home when
politicans line there pockets daily ... and all the money wastage on transport in Edinburgh on the trams that went over budget and years late, Congratulations to them and there up and coming family .

@Susan Lightfoot you ought to be ashamed of yourself. Why worry about them hitting the taxpayers for more expenses when everyone else is already doing it ?  SHAME ON YOU..

"Unnecessary criticism", LOL oh Ma Middleton must be working for The Stir now ---
As Mother's Day nears,  I wonder if Waity Kate will suddenly feel like dumping little George again. The public has seen no new, decent photos of George for months, in fact he's likely changed so much no one would recognize him. William and Kate will surely want George accepted by the UK public, or do they really care ?  Likely not. They are busy showing everyone they don't care, including George. Having some "alone time" doesn't have to include leaving the country and not seeing your own baby for a week.

With her nanny, her household staff and all the family support I do think lazy Waity could get out more and actually be of service, do something worthy for a change.   2014 has been especially bad, not that Kate was ever much of a worker.  She not only has had 2 vacations already but she and her bald and equally lazy husband ditched their 7 month old baby for a week. A WEEK.   And now again at taxpayer expense {where do you think the "royals" get most of their funding ?},  the lazy slag is re-doing her homes. Couldn't get it right the first time, of course I'm sure it's re-doing at great length. We're not talking about one room here.

Horrible, sycophant article must have been written by Carole Middleton ------

These two are like Marie Antoinette and Louis 16th. Clueless.

They're not that bright either, obviously, but it might occur to them that most of the people in the UK are struggling, but instead of giving back the pair of dolts haven't done anything all year but hand out shamrocks on St. Patrick's Day.   Time to be less selfish and start doing more charity and public service. In the UK they are referred to as "Willnot and Cannot" for obvious reasons.
