Lady's Gaga's epic new video for her track G.U.Y. accomplishes the impossible. It's almost 11 minutes long, a montage of three actual tracks from her new album ARTPOP and features a cast including The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Andy Cohen, Michael Jackson, Jesus, and Ghandi. It's like she went inside my head and decided to share the splendor therein with the world at large. Also, Giggy is in the video.
Rumors about what exactly the Housewives' cameo in Gaga's new video would entail had been circling for weeks. The end result was a lot like an ad for Bravo, with the wives all wearing pink, playing instruments, as Andy Cohen's head floated affably in the clouds making pronouncements. I'd be lying if I didn't say it was glorious, because it totally was.
As great as it was to see our favorites mesdames of reality T.V. featured in something so kooky (said your favorite, mild-mannered aunt who is easily shocked) what was more interesting and controversial was which members of the cast were conspicuously missing. Where were Brandi Glanville and Joyce Giraud? I can't imagine them ever turning down an opportunity like this one -- so is it possible that there absence was a dictum passed down from Gaga herself?
Maybe Gaga isn't a fan of the ladies, which, fine, we're all entitled to our own opinions. But Gaga courts controversy like a boss, so you think she'd relish an opportunity to bring in two more housewives, even if they aren't her favorite of the bunch. I mean, the video featured Giggy for Pete's sake. And an actor playing Michael Jackson rising out of his coffin. Also it is nearly 12 minutes long, you couldn't just throw the other two a bone?
Why do you think the other 2 weren't in the video?
