If you are like me, you believe that a woman has a better chance of finding true love in a frat house than by going on The Bachelor. Well, I am eating those words today. Why? Because two Bachelor and Bachelorette alums just got hitched.
Elizabeth Kitt (who once vied for Jake Pavelka's heart) and Ty Brown (who flexed his muscles to impress Ali Fedotowsky) got married in Kingston Spring, Tennessee on March 15.
Elizabeth also did season 1 of Bachelor Pad -- but that's not where the couple met. They first locked eyes at a charity event in Los Angeles and have been dating since January 2013.
They exchanged vows during a ceremony in a barn on their wooded property, according to Us Weekly. They kept the rustic event intimate, just inviting immediate family members, and wrote their own vows.

It's one of those sweet, fairy tale-like happy endings so many fans hope for as they root for the Bachelor and Bachelorette. However, since most of those made-for-TV pairings crash and burn, it's hard not to be cynical about the chances of things working out for them. But it looks like the prospects are changing for the contestants -- and understandably so. After 28 seasons combined, there are a lot of cast-offs floating out there in the universe. And I bet there are even more potential love matches.
Perhaps ABC should engineer introductions ... and not through some cheesy, silly, awful vehicle like Bachelor Pad. Those people are only interested in hooking up or desperately trying to extend their 15 minutes of fame. However, there are plenty of genuine people looking for love just like Elizabeth and Ty. Looks like some folks really are in it for the right reasons.
Do you think any of the Bachelor/Bachelorette marriages will make it?
