'Game of Thrones' Shockers Make Season 4 a Whole New Game (VIDEO)

game of thrones season 4There's nothing like a good dose of Game of Thrones updates to get you excited for the season 4 premiere on April 6. But there is some shocking -- and some not so shocking -- news for fans that has come out the last couple of days ...

As we get closer and closer to the premiere, updates on the show and books and actors have taken over the Internet. We fans are eating it up and we simply can't get enough. When a new teaser or trailer is revealed, it goes to show that we are that much closer to seeing some brand-new episodes. It's been exhausting geeking out for this long, but someone has to do it.

We can only guess that whatever happens to these characters, well, probably won't be too pleasant. From past teasers, Tyrion gets arrested, Daenerys has trouble controlling her dragons, the Wall is attacked, and Joffrey is being Joffrey. But there has been some non-spoilery news floating around too that's sure to intrigue a lot of fans.

Let's start with the least important, but for whatever reason, it's still making headlines today: Kristian Nairn has come out as gay. No idea who that is? C'mon, it's Hodor! The 36-year-old actor said in an interview, "In all honesty, when you talk about 'the gay community,' you are talking about MY community." He continued, "It's a privilege, and I really mean that. I've never hidden my sexuality from anyone, my whole life in fact, and I've been waiting for someone to ask me about it in an interview, because it's not something you just blurt out. I've tried to lead the questions a few times, to no avail!"

Great for him for having the courage to come out, but I can only assume fans don't really care, as long as he doesn't utter any word on screen besides "Hodor."

That's not the shocking news. The shocking news is this: Rumors are circulating that Game of Thrones is only getting seven seasons. That's it?! Seven?! Especially since season 3 and 4 take up a majority of just the third book -- and there will be seven books in total published. Knowing author George R. R. Martin, they will be huge tomes. It's going to be a lot to get through with just three seasons to go.

Knowing GoT fans, there could be 20 seasons and they will still tune in. But still, at the pace Martin is going, he will not finish the books before the television series ends. WTF does that mean for future seasons? Going to be interesting to see what happens.

In other insane GoT news, it seems President Obama was able to watch an advance copy of the entire fourth season! Ah, to be the leader of the free world. Wonder if he'll be recapping the episodes as they premiere? Will he troll the Internet dropping major spoilers? That would be amazing, but since he's probably the only person with access to season 4, we'll immediately know who it is. Grounds for impeachment, I'd say.

Probably the most shocking GoT news of all (so sorry for the ADD nature of this article, but there's just so much going on): Justin Bieber is King Joffrey. Seriously. This article contains the most convincing proof ever.

So much information. I'm out of breath.
