PEOPLE. There's less than a month to go until the season 4 premiere of Game of Thrones. It's seemed like many winters have passed, but it's coming close, and it's going to be an amazing season. The newest trailer, called "Secrets," features lots of swords, battles, and eerie voiceovers. It also goes to show just how, and I hate using this word all the time, epic this newest season will be.
From trailers to teasers to magazine covers, hyping up season 4 is really going into full drive before the April 6 premiere. Just check out Vanity Fair's cover for April, which shows off some of our favorite characters. And believe it or not, in book news, it seems that series author George R. R. Martin actually knows how all this is going to end! Hallelujah. Let's just hope he gets it all written as quickly as possible. Otherwise, we won't be able to enjoy tantalizing trailers like this one!
Check it out:
Obviously season 4 will start off with the devastating consequences from the horrific Red Wedding from season 3. But just take a look at those daunting sets, the humongous armies, how incredibly realistic the dragons look. Then the deadly power play among all these characters is always palpable, made even more so in this trailer. As Cersei says, "What good is power if you cannot protect the ones you love?" Let's hope she isn't talking about Joffrey. Clearly her brother (and lover) Jamie feels the same way, clean-shaven, trying to fight with his left hand.
On the other side of the GoT universe, Daenerys warns, "I will answer injustice with justice," then we immediately see her Unsullied army attacking yet another slave city. Just look at that army! Can you believe this is for a television show? And not some million-dollar budget blockbuster film? And of course there's an awesome (yet too quick!) shot of her chillin' out with her three dragons.
Tywin Lannister on the Iron Throne should also make GoT fans geek out just a little.
And above it all, to the North, is Jon Snow battling the wildings, dealing with his demons about how he left Ygritte. She may claim he knows nothing, but it seems like he is fighting the most important battle of all. Can't wait to see what happens!
Which battle are you most looking forward to seeing in season 4?
