'Are You the One?' Recap: Kayla Takes On the Entire House

are you the one mtv kaylaA week after we saw Chris S. pulling some nifty manipulative moves on Paige, this week's installment of Are You the One? gave us even more reasons to question the motives of the entire cast.

Adam and Brittany, who have had their very own volatile relationship, have started hooking up again because, hey, why not? Anyone else remember how Adam called Brittany clingy and refused to be associated with her? Maybe not the best foundation for a relationship.

But after tonight's inaugural hookup, the contestants were led to compete in the "well hung" challenge. They had to hang on to a slick rope in pairs while "the sexiest lube allowed in the state of Hawaii" was poured on them. Seriously, major kudos to MTV for tracking down that gem.

The three pairs that could hold on the longest were winners and left for a private afternoon date. Joey and Ashleigh outlasted the entire house, while Ryan and Kayla and Chris S. and Simone were the runners-up. Not going to lie, that's a pretty impressive display of athleticism right there. Any person who can hang on a lubed-up rope for any extended period of time deserves an award. And on another note, that is officially a sentence I never thought I would write.

At the end of the challenge, Ashleigh and Joey embarked on their private date where they got to share a meal and a cozy tent. Ashleigh, who has had a romance with Dre throughout the season, was hesitant to open up to Joey. So when it came time for the couple to cozy up in a small tent for the night, they slept on their own sides of the airbed and didn't touch. How romantic!

While the duo was enjoying their private time away from the house, Ryan and Kayla had their own romantic getaway. Or so Ryan had planned. When he asked his potential match to go to the "Boom Boom Room" (yes, you read that correctly), she vehemently refused. Good for you, girl! I mean, let's just dissect the name for a second. Any guesses about what goes on behind those closed doors?

But that wasn't the end of the drama for Kayla. The next morning (on the day of her double date with Ryan and Chris S. and Simone), she made a startling confession. She approached Amber (of Ethan and Amber, the star couple of the season) and admitted that she had kissed Ethan earlier in the show. "I'm not throwing him under the bus," Kayla said. "I'm just laying out the facts."

Yet the house quickly formed against her, and the 15-against-1 fight began.

Let's pause here and analyze. Those 15 vs. 1 odds (keep in mind that two couples are already in their honeymoon suites and are no longer in the house) are not favorable for Kayla. Impressively, she listened to everyone's criticisms and absorbed their words until she reached her breaking point and ended up opting out of the group date. Don't blame ya, girl!

But despite her absence, Kayla and Ryan were still voted into the truth booth. Shocker: they were not a match, so their individual searches continue. And they followed with the matching ceremony, where Wes and Kayla, Chris S. and Jacy, Adam and Shanely, Ethan and Amber, Joey and Jessica, Dre and Simone, Ryan and Ashleigh, John and Brittany all coupled up.

Excitingly enough, we had SEVEN perfect matches! With three matches left and three weeks to go, we might actually see a million-dollar payday!

What do you guys think? Was this week a step in the right direction? Who are the perfect matches?

I think I figured out the ending...

Amber and Ethan + Brittany and Joey hsve been revealed by MTV as couples.

Dillon and Coleysia + Christ T and Paige are already confirmed via the Truth Booth.

And the rest is as follows.

Wes and Kayla
Ryan and Jess
Dre and Simone
Jacy and Scali
Shanley and Adam
Ashleigh and John

I am really unimpressed with the matches of Shanley and Adam and Ashleigh and John. But if you have been keeping track of the matchups each week, this is the only combination that works. We shall see.

Kind of annoyed the writer defended Kayla, she's been a pretty big bitch playing both Ryan and Wes. Not to mention she freaked out when Ryan asked her, then began yelling at him when he said that it was ok that they didn't have sex. If that wasn't enough, she went on a rant about her morals despite having done "shower things" with Ryan, and playing around with two guys @ the same time in front of each other. Though it was pretty harsh to watch a 15 v 1, I can't say she didm;t have it coming, and she definitely didn't keep her cool while everyone did this. P.s. She was also really rude at the matchup ceremony, and when she told the viewers she wasn't going on the date.

I don't think the house is very forgiving. People have grudges on people for the littlest reasons these days. Why can’t people just be loving? Kayla isn't a saint but definitely neither are the people of the house. This is how I look at it. Kayla is a carefree girl who seems to not have her mind set on who she wants whether it's Wes or Ryan. She can be a flirt but being charming is in her personality. At the end of the day, this is a game and you're trying to find your perfect match. So you will have to see other guys. How's that any worse than the bachelorette where the girl has to date and flirt with twenty guys? As for when she said what she did to ryan, she's a priest's daughter and that role comes with questioning your morals so she probably had a sudden change of mind on how far she should go with certain guys. At least she's not like britney who sleeps with Adam although the guy has no respect for her whatsoever.

cont Maybe the next day, she was feeling guilty about the kiss and wanted to tell Amber about it without thinking. Then Ethan decided to completely bring everyone else to gang up on her and make her feel like shit about herself. And then you have Shanon, who fought with her over a bed and hadn't been able to forgive her since then. How ridiculous? What a tiny thing to hold a grudge on someone with. I'd just get another bed. If it weren't for a bed, they could've been even friends right now. Oh yeah let's not forget, Kayla also has an anxiety disorder so maybe some of her actions could also come from there. Honestly, people shouldn't have gotten between her and Ryan's fight first of all. It wasn't there place to judge and second of all, people had no right to tell her what she is, how she's crazy and the roommates were way too harsh on her. At the end of the day, I don't think she's a bad person and I feel bad for her.

cont I may be wrong but this is my theory. When I see her, I think of a stereotypical, rich, sweet, dumb/naive, popular, beautiful, flirtatious high school cheerleader girl. And most people immediately hate people like that when they first meet them because people like that were exactly what they envied in highschool/college. But just a thought, I really do think people that fit stereotypes are judged harsher than people that don't just like Kayla. She has the looks, she has the stereotypical charm and high pitched voice, and she seems like she comes from a good family too.
