The press is determined to run with this rumor that Kate Middleton is expecting twins. Le sigh. Just HOW would they know it's TWINS? C'mon now. BUT. Apparently Kate has been indulging in some mighty suspicious "I'm knocked up with twins" behavior lately. The main hint? Her diet!
According to OK! Magazine, Kate has been indulging that most obvious of "twin fetuses" food -- yams. Yes, according to someone, somewhere, yams will help you conceive twins. And if that doesn't work, use a ram. A battering ram. Hah. I keed.
Says some source somewhere:
"She'd been trying to eat yams after someone told her they help you have twins-the peelings are thought to contain a chemical that causes hyperovulation. And she's drinking lots of milk, eating lots of cheese and has a huge tub of Greek yogurt every day."
Really? A huge tub of Greek yogurt going into that flat little belly every day? Why do I doubt this? Also, if she's already conceived twins, then why is she still eating yams? Isn't that a bit like closing the barn door after the twins have escaped?
Anyway, supposedly the couple have been trying to conceive twin daughters since January. All because Prince William would like more daughters in the family since there are already so many boys. A sweet thought and, who knows, maybe it will happen.
But I doubt yams have anything to do with it.
Do you think yams will produce twins?
