Ooh-la-la. When the royals travel ... they really pull out all the stops. Yesterday it was reported that Kate Middleton and Prince William are in the Maldives, taking a much needed vacation before their Royal Tour of Australia and New Zealand next month.
And while we all assumed wherever they're staying would be top of the line and all sorts of luxurious -- wait until you hear new details on just how swanky this little trip of theirs really is.
For starters, the resort itself is brand spanking new. According to Us Weekly, it's called Cheval Blanc Randheli Resort, and it's part of the Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy luxury conglomerate. (That in itself should give you some insight as to how fancy this place is.)
But the description of Kate and Wills' two-bedroom villa will really make you wish you could trade places with one of them. Their accommodations include a 41-foot infinity pool, private sun deck, and of course has access to private beaches on the Indian Ocean. (Hopefully there aren't any photographers lurking around.)
Supposedly staying at this place for four nights costs a whopping $10,000, and dining in the resort's Le 1947 restaurant goes for around $500 a head, sans booze. (Yikes! Hope they have a couple bottles of champagne in their suite they can knock back before dinner.)
Man. Amid rumors that Kate and Prince William are planning on trying to conceive during their Royal Tour, you gotta wonder if they're getting a head start with this sexy little getaway. If a few nights alone in a five-star villa in one of the most picturesque places in the world aren't enough to put them in the mood for baby making, nothing is.
Are you envious of Kate and William's trip?
