You probably never guessed that she had any sort of acting skills, but just wait until you see Maci Bookout starring in her first music video. In the vid for "Emma's Song" by The Instigator, Maci plays a mom who is waiting on her daughter's father to show up at her birthday party.
But since he's a total deadbeat and drug addict, he doesn't have time to be a dad, which leaves Maci's character and her little girl devastated.
It's a little dark and sad to watch because of the story (especially during the child's nightmare at the end) -- but I think you'll probably agree that Maci does a great job in her role.
She's pretty believable, isn't she? When The Instigator went to put the video together, he says he knew Maci was the right person to play the mom. And she accepted because she identifies with the song and thinks it has the power to "change lives."
While there are no doubt a lot of women who will relate the song, it's tough not to think that this video has the potential to alter Maci's life too. She really does seem to have the acting thing down (even though she doesn't have any speaking lines) -- so maybe there's the chance her career could extend beyond the realm of reality TV?
It's definitely possible. Hopefully this is only the first of many performances we'll see from Maci in the future.
What did you think of Maci's video?
