More proof that reality TV is pretty much anything but real, especially when it comes to shows starring the Kardashians: TMZ is reporting that the house that E! uses for exterior shots of the Jenner house is for sale for $6.25 million. Oh, right, sorry, to clarify: The exterior here, portrayed as the Jenner residence on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, is NOT actually the house the family lives in. LIES!!
Understandably, Kris and the rest of the Jenner-Kardashian brood didn't want the outside of their real home (which is 20 miles away from this one) to be shown for security reasons. So, they've been using the outside of this 7-bedroom "home double" or faux home or whatever you wanna call it, but basically, once it's sold, the buyer has the right to pull it from the show. Womp womp.
Movies and TV shows often use a faux exterior ... Although, as TMZ points out, more often than not, it's done when a scripted show is actually shot in a studio or sound stage. Not so much in reality TV. But then again, we've known for a while just how "real" the Kardashian entertainment franchise is, eh?
Do you support the family using a different home's exterior for the show for security reasons -- or do you see it as disingenuous? What do you think they'll do if they can't use this house anymore?
