It's been seven months since the tragic death of Glee's Cory Monteith, and his girlfriend Lea Michele has been diligently working on her solo album -- much of which she attributes to Cory's unwavering faith in her as a solo artist. Lea's single from the album "If You Say So" is about Cory -- and she shares some incredibly personal information with her fans about the two of them. The song is inspired by Cory's very last words to her before he died alone in his hotel room from a drug overdose. Those words? "If you say so." And what preceded them is heartbreaking.
Lea sings in the song (co-written with the awesome Sia Furler):
It's been seven whole days without your embrace
I wanna see your face
I've got some things to say
It's just a week ago, you said I love you girl.
I said I love you more. And a breath, a pause, you said,
If you say so.
Ugh, it's so sad to think how much these two were in love right before he passed away, and how surreal and devastating it must have been for Lea to get this news.
Lea's song goes on to say how she feels about Cory's death -- how strange it is, and how she keeps looking for him and checking her phone to hear from him. Ugh.
Check out Lea's song. What do you think?
