Up until this point, they've done a pretty decent job of making sure Prince George is in their care as often as possible, but now supposedly Kate Middleton and Prince William might hire a nanny due to their crazy schedules.
Well, a full-time nanny, that is. They currently have Jessie Webb, Prince William's former nanny, helping them out as needed, but she recently gave notice that she's over the whole deal (because she's 71 and it's about time for her to retire).
And because of her exit, the palace apparently has gone ahead and put out the word to agencies that Kate and Wills need someone permanent to take care of their little guy while they're doing royal stuff.
(Gah. Where do I get in line for that gig? Something tells me it pays well and comes with its fair share of perks.)
Honestly, it's kind of amazing that Kate's lasted this long without putting full-time help in place, considering how different her life is than that of a regular mom. Being a royal is a 24/7 job in itself, so it's pretty impressive that she's managed to get by as a semi-stay-at-home-mom for the first few months of Georgie's life.
However, I'm sure Kate's feeling pretty stressed out right now knowing that she'll have to start from scratch as far as finding someone she and Prince William can trust goes. You really can't beat leaving your kiddo with the same lady who took care of your husband when he was a child, so I'm sure she's going to be a little wary of whoever winds up taking on the task at first.
Just think about how you felt the first time you left your baby with a sitter you didn't really know. Now multiply that by about 1,000, and you'll have a pretty decent idea of how Kate must feel.
Are you surprised that Kate and William want full-time help?
