As Cosmo's April cover girl, Khloe Kardashian sat down for a revealing Q&A -- the first since she filed for divorce from Lamar Odom. Although the talk took place just two days before news broke of the official split, the interviewer was none other than ... Kris Jenner. So obviously Khloe wasn't pressured to spill anything major against her will.
That said, she volunteered a couple of quotes that are extremely telling about how she feels ending her marriage in front of the whole world and all the vague messages she's been posting along the way ...
I'm not a big 'cry on a shoulder' person. I'm very introverted when it comes to my own stuff. Everyone has issues and I'm not someone who likes to burden people ... I hold things in. I don't know why.
Hmm, interesting and definitely something of a paradox, because at the same time, she likes to tease us all with bits and pieces of her personal life, no?
She elaborated, drawing a comparison to Kim's split from Kris Humphries:
Your life is meant for you to understand and process, not to make anyone else happy. Kim was so thrashed for her marriage and it not working out. If she wasn't happy, it took guts to say, 'You know what? I can't do this anymore.' But you're damned if you do and damned if you don't. People hate us for showing stuff, and they hate us when we say, 'Fine, we won't show it anymore.' I don't have any regrets. I wouldn't change a thing. You learn as you go.
Good for her. When it boils down to it, her happiness should be first and foremost. No one should have to grin and bear a relationship that isn't working due to pride and/or being in the public eye. It sounds like even in her darkest hour, Khloe has maintained a healthy perspective on her private life being under a very public microscope. And considering all the other battles she's facing, it's certainly a relief to know that at the very least, she has a grasp on that.
How do you feel about the way Khloe has handled her split in the public eye?
