Things certainly seem to be going well for Amanda Bynes these days -- at least a hell of a lot better than they were going in 2012 and into 2013. Since getting out of rehab for rumored schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, the 27-year-old really seems to be getting herself together.
Now there’s one more thing she can put behind her. Her lawyer struck a plea deal in court on Monday for her 2012 DUI arrest. Attorney Richard Hutton managed to get the charge reduced to “alcohol-related reckless driving,” which is a lesser offense than a DUI.
The actress will not have to spend any time in jail but has been sentenced to three years of probation and three months of alcohol education classes. Bynes was not in court for the sentences.

She’s been laying low since she was released from a psychiatric facility in December after a six-month stint. She was released into her mom’s custody and is living at home with her parents under their supervision and care.
In the last couple of months, she’s been spotted out exercising, getting a tattoo removed, and attending classes at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Orange County.
It seems like she’s on the right path to getting her life back on track. Way to go girlie -- keep it up!
Do you think reducing the charges in this case was the right thing to do?
