Chris Brown, notorious bad boy, is a guy who has a lot of issues with his anger. And that's kind of an understatement. But the 24-year-old is hoping to prove all the naysayers wrong by making an unexpected decision: extending his stay in rehab even though his 90 mandatory days were up.
“He wants to stay there a little while longer to make sure he’s absolutely ready to be back in society,” a source said.
Pretty impressive that Brown recognized a need to stay to make sure his anger is in check. He's been unable to shake what happened all the way back when he was 19 and was arrested after assaulting Rihanna, his girlfriend at the time. Currently, he's in rehab after assaulting Parker Adams, which violated his probation from the Rihanna incident.
Needless to say, the longer Chris Brown stays in rehab, the better!
Apparently though, staying in the treatment center hasn't stopped him from tweeting. He had a couple of exciting announcements in light of his extended stay.
First, he said:
"X" is by far my best album yet.... Setting the date for MAY 5 pic.twitter.com/cFrfpgsBcD— Chris Brown (@chrisbrown) February 22, 2014
Then he announced he's back on Instagram!
Got MY Instagram BACK!!!!!! New name: chrisbrownofficial— Chris Brown (@chrisbrown) February 22, 2014
Maybe now that he's finally getting around to making some new music and slowly re-establishing himself back on social media, willing to put himself back out there, he'll turn a new leaf and actually get the help he so desperately needed. He's certainly got a lot to do to make up for from his previous actions, but you can't fault the guy for at least taking that first initial step in the right direction.
Although it's sad to say, but if he manages to keep his nose clean and drops some amazing records ... fans certainly have short memory spans. It'll be interesting to see how well his new album will fare. Looks like we'll have to wait until May!
Do you think a man like Chris Brown could ever be fully reformed?
