Apparently some mothers haven't gotten the memo on Miley Cyrus.
There have been a ton of complaints about the "Wrecking Ball" singer from parents who took their daughters to shows on the Bangerz Tour. Unbeknownst to them, she is no longer the good girl, Disney-esque Hannah Montana type. The onstage antics they described are just shameful, and parents are demanding organizers cancel future concerts. And there is only one person to blame -- the complaining parents themselves.
So why is everyone up in arms? A scantily-clad Miley gyrates on stage, and the sexual innuendo during the two-hour-long show was over the top. She rides an oversized hot dog and simulates sex on a dancer dressed as Bill Clinton, promoting some to call it a "porn show."
Not only that, one of the souvenirs from the concert included gold-embellished rolling papers. Now parents want to put a stop to the tour. And as venues across the country threaten to pull the show, Miley's camp is concerned.
Come on people. It’s Miley Twerk-a-Lot Cyrus. What were these parents expecting? And it wasn't just her shocking MTV VMAs performance that should have given them a clue. She has been on a wild streak for quite some time. She posed topless on the cover of Vanity Fair at 15 years old, she danced on a stripper pole at the Teen Choice Awards in 1999, she was caught smoking salvia from a bong, and she was snapped licking a penis-shaped cake at ex-fiance Liam Hemsworth's birthday party in 2012.
So what exactly do these parents expect? Unless they were living on Mars for the last year, they should know better. This is NOT a role model for young girls. She has made no secret of her love to shock anyone and everyone. Parents should do their research before paying for those high-priced tickets next time.
Do you think parents are overreacting?
