Brian Williams Raps 'Rapper's Delight' in Brilliantly Funny Viral Video

Watch It! 3

Ahh, now we know where Girls' Allison Williams gets it from! Her dad, NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams, has talents that stretch far beyond gathering and reporting important news events. He's absolutely hilarious and -- shockingly -- on-key as he rapped a flawless cover of the old-school hip-hop song "Rapper's Delight" by The Sugarhill Gang on Jimmy Fallon's The Tonight Show.

Neither Williams nor his colleague Lester Holt -- who also showed off his comedic chops -- actually appeared in the studio with Fallon. Both were filmed separately and then Fallon used the footage on his show. Anyone who has been watching Jimmy light up the small screen for months now, totally earning his coveted Tonight Show slot, knows his musical parodies are often so entertaining, they go viral within minutes.

This awesome and unexpected tribute to a classic rap track by someone we assumed would never know the lyrics, never mind rap them with precision, is everywhere right now and definitely worth a watch. It will make your day!

What do you think of Brian Williams' version of "Rapper's Delight"?

I was rapping right along with them.

I'm not sure if you noticed, but it was actually clips of Brian Williams and Lester Holt - neither of them were actually rapping. It's a thing that Jimmy Fallon has done on Late Night before where he has his staffers go through new footage and makes it in to a rap song.
