Tonight's episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians featured the moment we've all been waiting for. Kanye West FINALLY proposed to Kim Kardashian! At this point, seeing the engagement on the show was almost no big whoop. We'd basically seen all the nitty gritty details. The only missing element was gleaning just how psyched the family was for Kim. That was really nice to see. I wanted to hug Khloe Kardashian to calm her down, she was so giddy for her siss! It was really sweet.
But the evening was spoiled by one notable absence. No, I don't mean Bruce Jenner though he was also missing in action. That was explained with a quick call to Kris Jenner where we learned he was "traveling for business". Yeah. They shot that scene several weeks later. CLEARLY. Whatever. I cared not. The family member who we missed the most was Scott Disick who was in New York taking care of his ailing mother Bonnie.

Scott's tough familial situation made an otherwise happy episode, a little bittersweet. It was so hard to watch half of the family being totally on cloud nine for Kim, while Kourtney and Scott were dealing with taking care of Scott's dad who was panic stricken because of his wife's illness. Poor Scott was clearly pulled in every direction. It was also rough watching Kourtney try to be there for her dude...while being halfway across the country.
It was hard to watch this all unravel on the little screen, because as a follower of the Kardashians, I knew how this would play out. Sure enough, the episode ended with the news of Bonnie's death. The show paid her a quiet tribute that asked for prayers for her at Scott's behest. It was hard not leave the whole thing feeling teary.
Did you dig the proposal or did it feel out of place with everything happening for Scott?
