Single mom Jean Allen hasn’t been on a date since 2010, but it looks like her luck has changed. She went on her very first date since becoming single with none other than George Clooney.
The personal trainer from Dallas accompanied the A-lister, along with her adorable eight-year-old daughter Victoria, to the premiere of The Monuments Men in New York City on Tuesday night.
Of course the question on this single mom’s mind is how the heck did she do that?
It was for a good cause, of course, because we can’t love George enough. The actor was raising money and awareness for his charity “Satellite Sentinel Project for Sudan,” which helps combat human rights violations in the area. Allen spent $10 to put her name in a raffle to win a dream date with the dreamboat.
She won the “Win a Date with George Clooney” contest, which I totally would’ve entered myself if I’d known about it. Anyway, the raffle raised $1.2 million, which is enough to fund the project for about three months.
Allen and her daughter got the total pampered star treatment too, with a day at the salon, picking out gowns, and meeting the star before the event, when he warned them about the upcoming brush with the paparazzi on the red carpet.
"We are going to get out of the car,” he said. “There will be a lot of people taking pictures. And they will be yelling like crazy.”
The ladies handled it like total pros, and looked confident and comfortable in front of the crowd, so it’s probably a good thing I didn’t actually enter and win that raffle. I would’ve been a total giggling fan girl dork.
What celebrity would you like to go on a dream date with?
