I no joke literally choked on my coffee this morning when I realized that there are people out there who truly, truly believe that Sharleen Joynt should be the next Bachelorette. Real. People. Their reasoning? She's honest. She probably doesn't want to do it so she'd be better at it. She's realistic. She's unique.
I'm sorry, are we watching the same season of The Bachelor right now? The same season where Juan Pablo undeniably has the most awkward chemistry ever with this woman that people deem perfect for the next Bachelorette? Have you SEEN the way this woman talks in her confessionals?
Listen, it's not like I have a personal vendetta against her (and I honestly think she has some killer fashion sense) -- but Sharleen as the next Bachelorette? Yeah, hell. Effin'. No.
More from The Stir: 'Bachelor' Juan Pablo's Biggest Crush Is Completely Doomed
I was actually having this conversation last night with my roommate and a few girlfriends, saying that I wouldn't be surprised if Miss Frisky, AKA Clare, is the next Bachelorette. The woman is drop dead gorgeous, really open about her feelings, and has no problem falling in love for the world to see on national TV. Plus, she's friendly, welcoming, and her smile is pretty damn great.
Sharleen, though? You don't want to give a woman her own show who makes you cringe watching her kiss. ABC executives would be silly to think that Sharleen would be able to meet a handful of men and be open to the possibility that one of them is her soulmate. (I honestly think she's too smart for Juan Pablo, just like my current The Bachelor favorite Andi.) But a dreamer like Clare? Man, she's ALL about love.
I guess we'll just have to see. If Clare really did get too hot and heavy for Juan Pablo too early on and he decided to give her the boot, then I won't be surprised if she calls up Desiree Hartsock for some advice in the near future.
Who would you want to see as the next star of The Bachelorette?
