Perhaps it's a case of life imitating art? According to reports, Jamie Dornan has gotten very protective of Dakota Johnson while they're shooting Fifty Shades of Grey. Sources claim that Dornan feels that everyone -- the crew, etc. -- are constantly chatting it up with Johnson, because she's so nice, and it's distracting her from focusing on her role as Anastasia Steele. AKA, don't talk to the actors, people! AKA, OMG, Jamie's really turning into Christian Grey!
A set source said, "Dakota is very friendly and talks to everyone [crew, security, etc.]. Jamie stays to himself and does not talk much. Jamie thinks Dakota gets really distracted, because she is so nice to people and so he will walk over to who she is talking to and try and end the conversation. He is nice about it, but he does ask them to leave her alone. Dakota is nailing her role."
He asks them to leave her alone?! Daaaamn. Imagine being the poor bastard who gets a talking-to from Dornan because they asked Dakota how her weekend was. I mean, yes, it's important for the actors to stay focused, but Christ, we're not making Schindler's List here.
Although sort of obnoxious, I guess it's somewhat cute that Dornan feels protective over Johnson. It shows he's a loyal (controlling?) friend, and it shows that he's really getting into the role of Christian Grey -- which, hey, can't be a bad thing for fans of the books.
Do you think it's rude or cute that Dornan is getting so protective over Johnson?
