'Bachelor' Recap: Juan Pablo Galavis Is Digging a Hole He Can't Get Out Of

Juan Pablo Galavis & ladies

Ugh. I knew it was bound to happen at some point, but I really didn't expect it this early on in the season. Am I the only one who was just a teensy-weensy bit bored during The Bachelor tonight? Where were the insane cat fights? And the countless spit swapping sessions? And the crying women?

Oh wait ... that's right. There were plenty of crying women. And Juan Pablo Galavis definitely has a sweet spot for all of 'em. The more they whine about "how hard this whole process is ... yada, yada, yada" -- the more sensitive good old Juan Pablo becomes. And you gotta love him for it. He really does appear to be quite the gent.

But that also happens to be his biggest problem.

So far, it really seems like Juan Pablo likes, well -- everyone. (Other than the two chicks he sent home, of course.)

Not that he shouldn't be developing feelings for more than one woman -- but I can't seem to pinpoint a clear front runner. Take his one-on-one dates with Cassandra and Chelsea tonight, for example. Do you think one went better than the other? He seemed equally as into both of them yet not really gaga over one or the other. Maybe it's just the language barrier, but so far I'm just not getting the "she's the one" vibe from Juan Pablo.

He really just doesn't seem like he's falling in love. At all. But he sure does "like" these gals a lot, so I guess there's potential?

But if he doesn't start zeroing in on a few ladies who he truly has a strong connection with, the odds of him finding a wife and stepmother for his daughter Camila aren't lookin' too good.

Fingers crossed that he picks up the pace a bit next week. For his sake and for the benefit of all of us at home who need a good dose of reality TV drama to kick off the week the right way.

Do any of the girls stand out to you yet?

He is one of the worst bachelors (in my opionion) so far.  Just a happy-to-be-here-with-all-these-girls type of guy...  He doesn't seem to have any depth to his character whatsoever.  He seems like a loving, devoted dad, but not husband material.  Maybe I'm wrong and he just can't convey his deep feelings on camera.  The guy can't seem to do anything but hug all over the girls...  I think he went on the show just to have fun (the first time around) and didn't expect to be chosen as bachelor.  It's a snooze fest as far as I'm concerned.  But of course I'll watch it to the bitter end.  LOL

I think Nikki, Renee, or Claire would be a perfect fit for him.  And, Yes, your right, he seems like he is into all the girls at this point, but hopefully he will find Love in the End and be Very Happy.

I always got the feeling he is more interested in the mother of his child than any of these gals. That's just the vibe I have coming from JP.

I think he seems to be one of the sweetest caring guys so far! He seems to care how they are feeling, that's the way it's supposed to be. He actually does care! He has made comments on a couple of them and you know he really cares more for them then a few of the others. I don't like it when they show more love for one certain one right away in the season, it's more fun and exciting to see towards the end who he is falling in love with.

I usually love the Bachelor and look forward every Monday night to watching it. But this season from the first episode which was the preview one, I was bored out of my mind! I think he is the one of the best looking bachelors ever but he just seems totally stupid and without depth to me too. Maybe it's the language barrier but he can't even express his feelings, if he has any. I can't get through an hour of it, let alone two! I keep leaving it to watch Dexter on Netflix lol.

I think Nikki will win, Clare will be runner up, and Andi will be 2nd runner up. It is a real boring season, and don't think anyone should have to jump from a bridge? What's with that? Like go on a normal date! The first date he went on last night, the chick went on and on about not knowing where or what they were doing but yet she was all ready with a bathing suit on to jump into the water. How did she know to wear her bathing suit? Then she even had a nice change of clothes??????????????

He just seems to favor Charlene and I can't figure out why.  She has no personality.  It looks like her mind is two clicks behind when he asked her something.  We shall see.

The producers said years ago, that the girls always take extra clothes with them on their dates, even tho you dont see them bringing them.  You dont see them taking jackets either but they always have them ready.  And I figure they even have more clothes with them than you see them pack.  These girls wear a lot of different outfits.

Chelsey has got to go. If I hear her say she hasn't been on a date in 3 years, ONE MORE TIME. She's 21, her last first date she got pregnant. You really want her to be the mother to your daughter, teaching her it's ok to get pregnant at 18. I like Renee, she's real. She didn't care one bit what she looked like rolling out of bed. I like Nikki too, sort heart, good role model and probably a great mom too. Charlene is fake, hated the way she accepted the rose the first night - so not interested.
