Mom of Cursing Toddler Says Her Son Does NOT Swear (VIDEO)

The mom of the little boy that made waves on the Internet yesterday when police put him in protective services after a video surfaced of him cussing and being cussed at has spoken out.

The 16-year-old mom, who had her face obscured because she’s a minor, claims that it was just a one-off, and that her son doesn’t swear like that on a regular basis. She also said that his diaper was clean, and the house was clean to defend her parenting skills.

Oh honey. Yes, it’s clear that the guys filming him egged on your son, but he’s not just repeating them. He’s coming up with his own obscenities, and he clearly knows which finger to lift up to flip the bird.

More from The Stir: Cops Put Toddler in Protective Custody Because Parents Let Him Swear (VIDEO)

We could debate all day about the appropriateness of cussing around toddlers, or even teaching them to say swear words, but fact of the matter is that this doesn’t seem to be a one-time thing.

It’s really hard sometimes to acknowledge when our kids are less than perfect. I think it’s our natural instinct as moms to want to protect and defend our kids, even to a fault. We are all somewhat blinded by love when it comes to our children, but it’s important to acknowledge something’s not right.

Besides, it’s not like this little guy did anything wrong himself. Kids that young don’t know what those words mean -- how could they? They simply don’t have any context. This mom insists her son is a good kid, and doesn’t cuss like that because she doesn’t allow it.

Well, Mama, he does cuss like that, and denying reality isn’t going to make it any less true. It’s best to face the facts and address them head on, instead of pretending like it isn’t happening.

Do you have a hard time accepting your parenting shortcomings?

I'm sorry, but how do you get your kid taken away because they cuss? Did I miss something? I may not agree with it, but there are kids out there being locked in closets, burned with cigarettes, starved, etc. and if the worst that is happening here is swearing how does the government have a right to step in and take someone's kid over language?

The teen mom states "every little kid curses, they ALL do it." Ummm what? lol NO they do not. Maybe that happens in her socio economic circle, but that is not the case for the rest of America. Thinking this, doesn't make a bad mother just an uneducated one.
The violence and guns in the home are what makes her a sorry excuse for a mother though. Your first job as a mother is the safety of your child.

The child (and several other children in the home) for removed because of gang members trafficking the home, not the parents let him curse. This video is from about 30 miles from my home. The Omaha police officers association posted it on their fb page

He wasn't taken away due to cussing. The video did bring this family to the authorities attention. The authorities found cause to remove them (at this time they cannot site specifics due to privacy issues).

Now I calk BS on the claim that her son doesn't cuss & on her claim that she's a goos mom. Part of being a good mom is keeping you children away from bad examples, such as gang thugs who encourage your kid to cuss. I mean this girl is sixteen NOW, not when she had the kid. I don't know if there was adequate legal cause to remove the child, but anyone who claims that we cannot "know" that this was an example of the thug lifestyle perpetuating itself, please.

What's awful is that the police put this video on their website. Police will arrest you if you legally try to video them but they have no problem publicly embarrassing a kid. Typical crappy police behavior.

Mark Cox you got that right. She's 16 and shouldn't have a walking, talking toddler..did she have him when she was 13-14? So sad.

@nowei police can not arrest you over video tapping them, people do it all the time. You can find videos on YouTube of it, know your rights.
