Courtney Love's New Romance Is Too Bizarre to Be True

Kiri Blakeley GossipMonger

There have been some weird couple reports lately (Miley Cyrus and Kellan Lutz?). But this one just makes you feel like you slipped down a rabbit hole. Courtney Love --  punk rock chick  and widow of Kurt Cobain -- who is mostly known now for her wacky antics, tweets, and strained relationship with daughter Frances Bean -- is supposedly dating ... are you ready for it? ... Aaron Sorkin. Sorkin is the guy who created The West Wing and who won an Oscar for writing The Social Network. Just how is it these two crazy kids are an item?!

A source told New York Post's Page Six that the two have been hooking up for the past few months. The source rather preposterously says:

He is intrigued by Courtney’s wit, while she says Aaron is a great influence on her. Some people might think they are an odd couple, but she likens them to Marilyn Monroe and Arthur Miller.

Really? Which one is Marilyn Monroe?!

Well, this might seem like the most unlikely romance of all time (except for Miley and Kellan) but Sorkin has a wild side. He has been public about his battle with drug abuse, and in 2001, was once arrested at an aiport carrying magic mushrooms, pot, and crack in his carry-on. Seriously, Aaron, at an airport?!

Courtney, for her part, is being sued by her former lawyer for tweeting disparaging remarks about her. She also settled a lawsuit after she tweeted smack about a fashion designer. Wow, you'd think Courtney would keep the hell away from Twitter.

So both of them are a tad, shall we say, edgy. But a romance with a hard-working scribe like Sorkin could be a good thing for Courtney. If, you know, it's actually happening. And Sorkin's rep denies it is.

Wouldn't you deny it?

Do you think they're dating?
