‘Bachelorette’ Star Emily Maynard Is Engaged Again & This Time It May Stick

Awww! 14

The Bachelorette alum Emily Maynard is engaged! So I guess that very serious relationship that was hinted about last November turned out to be serious indeed. The love-plagued reality star has seen her share of heartbreak (in the public eye no less!), so Imma just be happy for her right now.

This is the fourth mega love-interest for Ms. Maynard, who lost love the first time when her daughter Ricki’s dad Ricky was killed in a plane crash, and the second and third times in a very public way on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.

After all that drama, it makes sense that she’s settling down with her hometown guy Tyler Johnson. Tyler apparently likes to stay out of the spotlight, which is probably one of the reasons Emily likes him so much after so much turmoil in her very public love life.

Maynard told Us Weekly, “We’re really excited!!” She also said, “He proposed to me at home and gave both Ricki and me rings. It was so sweet! Ricki loves him more than she likes me!”

As a single mom myself, I’m thrilled to my toes that Emily has found a guy that seems so down to earth and wants to include her daughter in the festivities. Can I get a “woot!” for Tyler? Because good job, dude.

The couple has been dating about a year, but they’ve known each other since before Emily went on The Bachelorette. They met at church, because apparently I can’t have enough reasons to like this story and hope that everything will work out for them.

As for wedding plans? No word on anything except timing. Emily said, “We definitely are looking to get married sooner rather than later. No point in waiting!"

Congrats to the happy couple. We wish you all the best!

Do you think the fourth time could be a charm for Emily Maynard?

I always heard the saying "three strikes you are out", but I have a friend that is married for the fourth time, to an old high school boyfriend. And she is happier now than she ever was. So I am routing for Ricki and her new dad.

I hope it works for little Ricki...

Congratulations to the couple, but may I point out...Ricki has an "old" dad, that isn't out of her life by choice. I don't agree that this is her "new" dad, but someone who may be looked at as a father figure and stepfather. JMO

So glad to hear the happy news! And why do people have to be so ugly with their comments!?
