New 'Walking Dead' Spoilers Should Freak Out the Daryl Dixon Fans

TV Addict 84

Daryl DixonCalling all Norman Reedus fans! If you, like me, feel there has been not nearly enough focus on our favorite varmint-chugging, crossbow-toting hottie in season 4 of The Walking Dead thus far, there's a delicious rumor floating around that we're about to be rewarded with an entire episode -- maybe even two! -- of straight-up DARYL DIXON.

Of course, what AMC giveth, they also taketh away: there's an equally pervasive rumor that something very, very, very unpleasant is going to happen when the Walking Dead returns in February. Here's your official spoiler warning ... but keep reading if you want all the good, the bad, and the downright ugly details of what we can expect (maybe!) to happen during the second half of the season.

Season 4 has been pretty light on the Daryl Dixon front, but according to ComicBook.com, that's going to change soon when "at least one episode, maybe two (will) focus almost exclusively on Daryl." Reedus even tweeted a link to that article, which either means he endorses its truthiness or he's just messing with us. Either way, LET US REJOICE AT THIS POSSIBLY BULLSHIT BUT HOPEFULLY SPOT-ON RUMOR.

There will also apparently be at least one Carl-centric episode, which seems believable given the previews we've seen so far for the season half of the season. Here's what Andrew Lincoln told ComicBook.com about Chandler Riggs' upcoming performance:

Just wait, all I will say is just wait for what this kid is going to do this season. He has done one of the best episodes certainly this season, and he kind of carries it. It’s beautiful what he’s done.

Carol will also return, which is something that creator Robert Kirkman has confirmed, but the rumor mill says she'll first meet up with Tyreese, who still doesn’t know that she killed Karen and David. (Or DID she?)

Last but not least, the big shocking news is that before the season finale ... well, someone's going to die. HOLY CRAP RIGHT I KNOW CAN YOU EVEN BELI -- okay, the idea that someone's going to get killed off on The Walking Dead isn't exactly a jaw-dropper, but apparently it's "one of the main cast members who has not been killed in the comic book series."

There are lots of ways to interpret that (someone who hasn't been killed in the comics at the same general point in the story? Someone who doesn't even exist in the comics?), and it may not even be true. But check out what Andrew Lincoln said about the final episodes of season 4:

And really, trust me, I think that three of the strongest episodes we've done this season are yet to come. Probably four. There are two episodes that I absolutely adore in the back eight, one of which I think is going to be the most controversial episode that we've probably ever been involved in, and that's saying something.

Gosh, what could be so controversial? Is it a bad sign Daryl may be getting an influx of screen time? Could the show be so cruel as to make us fall for Daryl more than ever, only to kill him before the end? NOOOOOOOOO.

Okay, give me your best guess for who may be getting killed off before the season 4 finale. Daryl? Michonne? Maggie? Glenn? Someone else?

Daryl? Michonne? Maggie? Glenn?

Ok, I won't spoil who for those that don't read them, but one of those people IS dead in the comics so we might not have to worry about them. I hate any deaths though. Except when it was Andrea. I was so tired of her and her not being as awesome as her comic book counterpart.

Aw hell no. Anybody but daryl can die and it would upset me for a minute. If they kill daryl off, i may throw my remote through the tv.

"I'm not dead yet. I think I'm getting better!"

As long as Rick and Michonne survive, then I don't care who dies.

Nope, Daryl's not dying. Why? Because Norman's already tweeted holiday greetings to the Woodbury Shoppe and in it, he said he couldn't wait to get back down there to see them. He's tweeted that before, albeit innocently, in between seasons. Daryl's not dying and stop trying to get hits to your site by scaring his fans.

Oh, and the episode Andy was talking about, controversial, he and Norman have also said they couldnt' sleep and they even called producers...and in the Atlanta magazine interview, said that neither he or Norman were in it. So again, it's not Daryl that's dying.

I think the controversial episodes are in reference to The Hunters.
