Last week Justin Bieber told the world he was retiring while on a radio show promoting his new album. "After the new album, I'm ... uh ... I'm actually retiring man." Biebs is 19. Can a person retire at 19? Of course they can. We can do whatever we want in this life and that applies to Justin as well. But how many of us thought Bieber was telling the truth? Was he for serious, serious? What exactly does this "retirement" entail? What does it mean?!?
Well, when not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse, Justin took this retirement thing one step further. He tweeted about it. And this time there was no hesitations, no ellipses, no "man" to end the sentence. I'm starting to belieb him. I mean, we have to be beliebers.
My beloved beliebers I'm officially retiring— Justin Bieber (@justinbieber) December 25, 2013
I couldn't help but think this means something else. He's retiring from being a "bad" boy. Maybe he's just going on hiatus. Maybe he means because he's going to be 20 in March, he's retiring from being a teenager? Yikes, I'm old.
His next tweet clears up a little confusion but leaves us a little more confused.
The media talks a lot about me.They make a up a lot of lies and want me to fail but I'm never leaving you, being a belieber is a lifestyle.— Justin Bieber (@justinbieber) December 25, 2013
I'm just going to come out and say it. Justin, I personally do not want you to fail. I'm no hater. I belieber in you!
Next, this gem of a sentence ....
Be kind loving to each other, forgive each other as god forgave us through Christ Merry Christmas IM HERE FOREVER— Justin Bieber (@justinbieber) December 25, 2013
Awww Justin. Cue his Forever song! Live his sentiment!
So maybe he officially retired -- in his very own definition of retirement. Plenty of people do that. Doesn't mean he quit for good. Because, as he said, he's here FOREVER.
What do you think? Is he really retiring?
