'SNL' Has Hilarious Response to 'Fake' Mandela Memorial Interpreter (VIDEO)

saturday night liveI haven't watched Saturday Night Live in years, but their cold opening last night poking fun at all the controversies during Nelson Mandela's funeral is definitely worth a look. From President Obama's selfie to the now infamous job by the sign language interpreter who claims he was suffering from insane hallucinations, SNL mocked what took place and proved just how absurd (and kind of hilarious) everything that went down truly was.

Though if Kenan Thompson opts to interpret more political speeches, I think far more people will tune in! What a way to bring in the masses (and the ratings!).

And there's no better way to make sense of this "series of unfortunate events" than laugh at it at this point. What more can you do with politicians nowadays besides make fun of them?

Check it out:

Glad that the President was able to confirm how Michelle Obama really felt about his actions during the funeral: "First, I got roped into taking a selfie with the blonde female Danish prime minister," "Obama" said. "Some people said Michelle was angry at me for that. But, I talked to her afterwards and I can assure you, she was furious."

Then, as you can see, when Obama launched into a speech about health care and the website, Kenan does a fantastic job interpreting, which, sadly, probably made more sense than what the actual interpreter did during Mandela's funeral. Gotta love the signage for "thrilled" and that "the website has been turned on again." Can't help but give kudos to SNL for having the perfect, LOL-inducing response to all the bizarre incidents that went down during Mandela's funeral.

Do you think Kenan did a better job signing than the interpreter at Mandela's funeral?

Reverse the situation, then ask yourselves if it's still so " hilarious". It's sad that the seriousness of the situation is swept under the rug by people who are lucky enough not to understand how it feels. Segregation is never funny.
