Spencer Pratt Claims ‘Hills’ Producers Wanted Him to Ditch Heidi at the Altar

GossipMonger 7

Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag are the gift that keep on giving, aren’t they? In an E! special on December 9, After Shock: Heidi and Spencer, the reality star duo revealed that they are not actually the douchey couple they played for six seasons of The Hills.

“I don’t think we’ve ever gotten to be the real Heidi and Spencer on TV,” declared the man married to the woman who once had 10 plastic surgery procedures done in one day. Spence, have you guys ever been the real you? Do you guys even know who you are?

You’re not Jay-Z and Beyoncé, that’s for sure.

Anyway, the couple talked about how they blew through $10 million in year, and the fact that they made that money by playing characters on Hills. They say they were asked to “fake scenes and stir up drama,” and that producers would shoot different scenarios from multiple angles to get the best shot.

Duh, we knew it fake. No big reveal there.

But did the show meddle in the lives of the cast more than we suspected? Spencer claims that his 2009 wedding was delayed for two hours as Hills producers tried to talk him into leaving Heidi at the altar for better ratings.

Guys, in all honesty, I don’t think anyone really expected you crazy kids to stay married. They probably weren’t trying to break you up so much as speed things along and profit from it.

Other items of note from the special include Spencer revealing how curbing his love of pie helped him lose 50 pounds, and the fact that he’s not sure if he wants to be a dad, due to the intense media scrutiny he’s under.

"I wouldn't want to be Spencer Pratt's kid," he said, concerned that his future offspring would be bullied for his antics in the media. "I'd have a kid if there was no Google or YouTube."

Spencer and Heidi -- there are many reasons the two of you probably shouldn’t create anything other than an Aura baby together. Google ain’t one of them.

Do you believe Hills producers tried to call off the Spidi wedding?

Wow! I had no idea that Alex was doing commentary on the Real Housewives franchise. I'm glad I found it and I will be watching a lot more. I always liked Alex, more than egotistical Jill; ding bat Kelly and the narcissist Duchess of chit Luann.

It's one thing to look through a comment section and see a mess of typos and grammatical errors, but this is ridiculous. If you take the time to do something, take a few extra seconds and do it right. Not too sure how spell check and a quick read-through eluded you seeing as how .
