Is it springtime? You could have fooled me. Because everything is coming up Lamar Odom! Well, that might be a slight exaggeration, the guy still has a long way to go -- but recent news about his DUI charge proves that he's on the right track and has every intention of staying on it. Quick, somebody high-five me! Now let us play a celebratory game of hoops! Or not! I am terrible at sports.
Word recently came down that Lamar has struck a three-year probation deal for the DUI he was charged with this summer. He pleaded no contest to the charges, and in addition to being put on probation, he's got to pay a smallish chunk of change in fines for his actions. I think Lamar stepping up to the plate and addressing his problems is just another sign that he has no intention of throwing his life or his dreams away -- including his marriage.
Between this news and talk that he is rumored to get back with the Clippers, you get the feeling that the old Lamar is making an appearance. It's been a while! While this is great news for us, his fans, it's even better I'm sure for his wife Khloe Kardashian. I mean ... it would be weird if it weren't? Though their marital strife has been loudly discussed (hi, I was discussing it), Lamar seems to be making every effort to save his union with Khloe.
This is all really reassuring -- and not just because Khloe has the keys to the underground living quarters that Kim Kardashian had her prepare in case Throbtron rose again. But rather, it's good for another reason. Namely, Lamar has had anything but an easy time as of late, and that goes double for Khloe. Here's hoping that he's doing what he needs to do to work on his mental health and addiction issues, and that Khloe is looking after herself too. I am still rooting for these kids like crazy. Or should I say, krazy.
Do you think Lamar will ever complete his comeback?
